A Doctor’s Letter To Patients With Chronic Disease

I’ve seen this on a few blogs and found it well-worth sharing. A Doctor’s Letter To Patients With Chronic Disease.

I scare doctors? Surprising! Ok maybe not too surprising. But it’s refreshing to see this point of view.

  1. Hmmm. I’ve never met a doctor before who I felt was intimidated by me… this is an interesting perspective.

I’ve met doctors who I can tell are overworked and don’t seem to have time for a complicated patient. Also, I learned that doctors have moods, good days, bad days…

Personally, I feel like if a doctor takes it personally that there are people with chronic disease who they can’t “fix” they’re really misguided.

I dunno, this article didn’t feel mature to me for some reason. I mean geriatric patients are going down hill all the time… more than 50% of people will being dealing with a chronic illness by the time they are 40. That’s not rare… I wonder if this doctor is writing more about himself than he is about the average physician.
