We looked at 3 apartments this weekend. It was very Goldilocks. The first was too small, the second was too big, and the third was just right. In fact, we took it on the spot.
It’s a nice little place in a large apartment building right on the park. We’ll have a playground we can dash over to anytime, and it’s also very close to the library, post office, a nice little grocery store, and my favorite knitting shop. Utilities are included, so we can crank up the AC or heat without abandon. The only downside – besides that we’ll have to get used to living in less space – is that the laundry is in the basement. No longer can I toss in some laundry and not worry about who else needs to use the machine or whether I have quarters. Ugh. But hey, I’ll take it.
